The United States has finally crumbled to pieces from the inside!
Predictions have been made that this truly is the end of the land of the free!
But is it truly the end?
While Washington announced the fall on July 4, 2013, the actual date that the United States crumbled from the inside out is not something that can be calculated to the exact day. The first state to leave the Union was Texas in December of 2012, so most people place the beginning of the end there, but really the beginning of the end goes back much farther than that even.
It started perhaps in 2008 with the election of President Obama, which not only prompted the return of a great amount of prejudice in America but caused a rebirth of extreme political rivalry that hadn't come up for quite a while. The fighting between the Democrats and the Republicans are surely one of the largest causes of the fall itself but not seen as the true reason. After the election of President Obama, Arizona passed SB1070, which resulted in another rebirth: the battle between state and federal rights, the battle that started the Civil War. After these two events, everything seemed to roll down hill as rivalries between politicians grew stronger and battles between D.C. and the states became more common. It wasn't until after the election in 2012 that the conflict was too much and that America would not survive without a war of some kind.
Texas left the Union in December of 2012 and with it took Oklahoma, who perhaps didn't wish to leave. Despite D.C.'s best efforts to keep other states in the Union by giving them more rights, several other Southern states followed Texas' example, led once again by South Carolina. By the middle of 2013, all of the states that had formed the Confederate States of America during the Civil War had left the Union and formed what is now known as the New CSA. It was after this that England and Canada moved in to help the States, both taking parts of America into their own possesion. Russia and Mexico followed this example with Russia reclaiming Alaska and Mexico reclaiming most of the South Western States. Random groups of other states with similar interests to each other or similar backgrounds at least formed their own countries and any area left was widely disputed. The rush for land finally calmed down with the end of 2014, but the fact remains that America is now a constant warzone.
Today, there are three major factions within the states: There are those who wish to reunite the country, led by the states held by England; those who wish to remain as they are, lead by the New CSA; and a mysterious band of 'rebels', whose leader and motive are both unknown. Each faction is at war with each other and each faction is a strong force within the nation.
If something doesn't happen soon, the once great United States will fall into distant memory and forever be destroyed.
